Netrun does not introduce a new consensus or validator layer, as it is not a standalone blockchain. Instead, it inherits the security, consensus, and performance guarantees of Base, building on top of its proven Proof-of-Stake architecture and high-throughput execution environment.

Leveraging Base's Consensus

All transactions and state changes within Netrun ultimately rely on Base's validator network. This ensures fast finality, strong security, and scalability without requiring a separate consensus mechanism.
